About the Filmmakers

We are filmmakers drawn to the stories that live in the land — stories passed down in silence, in seeds, in survival. The ones that rise from grief, from beauty, from a longing to belong to something older than ourselves.

This work is rooted in the exploration of how connection to land becomes identity. That what happens to the forests, the soil, the animals, happens to us. We’re drawn to people who stay — who resist with their hands in the earth, who protect what others have tried to erase.

This work is rooted in the belief that connection to land is identity. That what happens to the forests, the soil, the animals, happens to us. We’re drawn to people who stay — who resist with their hands in the earth, who protect what others have tried to erase.

The Beauty of Your Earth was born from standing in that kind of place. A place where history, violence, and resilience live side by side. Where even in destruction, the land remembers. This film — and the work that surrounds it — is our attempt to listen closely. To witness without extraction. To show what love for a place looks like in action.

What we found in Ukraine wasn’t just devastation. It was a culture shaped by attention — to the earth, to one another, to what cannot be bought or conquered. A way of living that insists on beauty, even in the face of ruin.

In a world increasingly disconnected from the land, this message feels urgent. Not just for Ukraine. For all of us.
