Earth Day 7.jpg

The Beauty of Your Earth is a poetic, emotionally-charged documentary and a love letter to those defending Ukraine's soul by saving its soil, rivers, forests, wild and domestic creatures.

O&K.jpg

Amidst the devastation of war, a group of Ukrainians—scientists, lawyers, farmers, activists, and mothers—risk everything to protect the land they love.

Weaving personal stories with the larger history of Ukraine’s cultural and ecological struggle, foregrounding beauty, tenderness, and resistance in equal measure.

With its poetic tone and emotional depth, the film resists didacticism, instead inviting the viewer into a sensory and soulful experience.

Archival fragments, voiceovers, and dreamlike sequences create a layered, immersive world where war is not only destruction—but also a call to defend life in all its forms.

Filmed in the wake of Russia’s full-scale invasion, The Beauty of Your Earth  follows an inspiring cast of characters who see the land not as a backdrop to war but as the very heart of what’s at stake.

From the black soil of Kherson to the wetlands of Tuzly Lagoons, from legal battles in Kyiv to quiet acts of replanting and care in villages destroyed by shells, these stories reveal a profound connection between people and place.

We meet Ivan Rusev, a marine biologist who works under threat of russian invasion to protect threatened migratory bird nesting grounds in his national park .

Olena Kravchenko, an environmental lawyer, builds legal cases to hold invaders accountable while nurturing a defiant hope for justice.

Katya Polyanska gathers evidence of the massive environmental impact bombs and missiles have on wild places, cities and villages.

Lyusya Zymnytska returns to her obliterated home to rebuild and recreate community.

Anna Kurkurina, the world’s strongest woman, finds new strength in sheltering animals and leading with compassion.

Ivan Moysiyenko, a quiet botanist in Mykolaiv, speaks of plants as kin and survival as reverence.

Told through intimate vérité, the evocative music of Natalia Tsupryk, and lyrical narration drawn from Ukrainian poetry and resistance literature, The Beauty of Your Earth is a cinematic meditation on identity, resilience, and the sacred bond between people and the land they call home.
